I had my local dealer remove the white spacer but he really didn't want to. I can understand his point. He could be heavily fined for removing it because of the epa standards. WD pretty much hit the nail on the head. Remember when you change one thing it effects the other settings so more than just one or two adjustments has to be made. And once you get the carb right if you change the exhust system you will have to readjust.Then you will want to customize the air filter which will change everything else again. But once you do all of that which really isn't much the rewards will all make it worth it. When the Savage is tuned up right it is a great running bike and will run with anything in it's class and easily keep up with bikes bigger than it. John
